What is Chemistry?

the branch of science concerned with the substances of which matter is composed, the investigation of their properties and reactions, and the use of such reactions to form new substances.

What is Matter?

The most common is that it is any substance which has mass and occupies space. All physical objects are composed

What is Substance?

A substance is matter which has a specific composition and specific properties. Every pure element is a substance. Every pure compound is a substance

What is Atom?

The smallest particle of a chemical element that can exist

What is Element?

(1)an essential or characteristic part of something abstract
(2)Each of more than one hundred substances that cannot be chemically interconverted or broken down into simpler substances and are primary constituents of matter. Each element is distinguished by its atomic number, i.e. the number of protons in the nuclei of its atoms

What is Proton?

(1) A proton is a positively charge particle that resides within the atomic nucleus
(2)A stable subatomic particle occurring in all atomic nuclei, with a positive electric charge equal in magnitude to that of an electron.

What is Sound?

Vibrations that travel through the air or another medium and can be heard when they reach a person's or animal's ear.
